NUST's first Vice Rector, Prof.Tjama Tjivikua, was appointed on 4 August 1995.
The colours on the NUST logo have been selected to represent the national spectrum as influenced by the heritage from Namibia flag.
The colour red represents Namibia's most important resource, its people. It refers to their heroism and their determination to build a future of equal opportunity for all.
Gold represents life and energy (the sun).
❝Learn everything you can, anytime you can, from anyone you can; there will always come a time when you will be grateful you did.❞
❝. First comes thoughts, then organization of that thought, into ideas and plans, then transformation of those plans into reality. The beginning, as you will observe, is in your imagination.❞
❝Language is the road map of a culture. It tells you where its people come from and where they are going.❞
❝Life is like a disco. No matter how the music changes, you just keep on dancing.❞
❝it’s a new challenge to see how people can change your look. I like words like transformation, reinvention, and chameleon. Because one word I don't like is predictable.❞
❝Transformation is not five minutes from now, it’s a present activity. In this moment you can make a different choice and it’s these small choices and success that build up over time to help cultivate a healthy self-image and self-esteem.❞
